P is for Pancakes | Munchies

22 06 2011

I woke up this morning with a craving for some sweet sweet pancakes…only problem was I didn’t have pancake mix.  So I thought to myself, it can’t be that hard to make them from scratch.  While it wasn’t hard to make them it was hard to eat them. I was totally disappointed with the recipe I got online.

Do not be fooled by their golden edges. They. were. terrrrrible.

I tried adding more sugar, that didn’t help.

I tried adding more milk, that didn’t help.

I tried adding more flour, that didn’t help.

Martha Stewart would be disappointed.

Feeling defeated, I threw them all out.  I ended up having blackberries and toast with peanut butter and honey instead.  Smooth recovery.

Should you want to try the recipe yourself(although not recommended):

1 1/2 c Flour

1 Egg

1 tbsp Sugar

1 tsp Vanilla

1 tsp Ground Cinnamon

1 tbsp Oil

1 1/2 c Sweet Milk

Mix together and enjoy with your favorite syrup(or not…just sayin) 🙂

If you have a better recipe please fill me in!  I’m still craving some good pancakes…

It’s the return of mason jar milkshakes!

This time Mint Oreo…nom nom nom.

You will need:

*Ice Cream *Milk *Mint Oreos

Side note:  I have always considered myself a Blue Bell girl but in an attempt to be frugal I went with Great Value and let me just say, YUM!  Twice as delicious and half the price? Yes please!

Cookies!  I heart sweets and anything mint 🙂

The mason jar is ready and waiting!

Dominated.

That was D-lish!  Worth every calorie 🙂

I’ve decided I’m going to create a new mason jar milkshake each month.   Let me know if  you have any tasty ideas and I’ll give them a shot.

When its freezing outside most people want to eat warm things like soup, stew or baked potatoes.  Again, that is most people…what do I want when it’s freezing outside?  Umm a milkshake.  Duh.  Gotta love that sweet tooth.

So in the spirit of MMMmmmmbracing the cold.  I decided to throw a little something together.  As usual, there is no method to my madness so attempt this recipe at your own risk.

You will need everything pictured below:

*Ice Cream *Milk *Peanut Butter *Bananas

Ice Cream! Yum!

Mason Jar Milkshake(my new signature drink)

The Aftermath

Oh and the instructions….umm throw everything in a blender and ta dah! Milkshake.  Like I said, there really is no method to this one.  Just flavor to your taste.  Enjoy!

Got a good shake idea?  Share please. 🙂
