Meet Catalina | Kiddos

3 06 2010

I met Jess and David two years ago when I came to Austin with a friend for the CapTexTri.  They let us stay at their beautiful home that weekend.  Between the late night two steppin, the boys competing in a triathlon and an Indiana Jones marathon we had a great time.  As most people do, we became Facebook friends so we could keep in touch.

Flash forward two years, I now live in Austin and David sent me a message on Facebook about the city, where I was living and working.  After the post of my second cousin, we ended up talking about my photography.  He said he wanted to have some photos taken of his daughter, Catalina.  Her first birthday was coming up so we set up a session.  It was a big week for Cat not only did she turn 1 she also became a model.  I mean, come on, are you kidding me with her cuteness!?!

Check it out, gettin her horns up already!  She’s a Longhorn for life!

Happy Birthday Catalina! 🙂

Meet Garrison | Children

29 09 2009

Garrison is your typical little boy, full of energy, curiosity and absolutely no fear.  I ran into this little guy on a Sunday afternoon at Fred’s over off of 7th.  He was running around and having a great time.  Lucky for me, his parents were more than happy to let me take his picture.  So, special thanks goes out to them for giving me a chance to practice!  He was such a great sport.  I truly enjoyed trying to keep up with him.

Softball Sweethearts

7 09 2009

Hogan is on two softball teams this season; the Sofa Kings play on Tuesday nights  and the Hot Snakes(which you’ve seen in a previous post) play on Wednesday nights.  This past Tuesday night, I was blessed with the company of Hogan’s Mom, his Uncle and his cousin, Carrie, along with three of her little girls, Skyleigh, Cami and Scout.   I was beyond grateful that they came out to the game; not only were they good company but the girls also provided great photo ops.  Cami and Scout were so excited once they figured out they could see themselves on my screen after I took their picture.  From then on it was, “ok, take my picture,” they’d run over to me, take a look, laugh and run back to pose, “ok, take my picture.” Scout cracked me up; I took her picture, she ran over to look at it and exclaimed, “ewww, my face is dirty.”  Granted she had just finished with a ketchup covered chicken strip and a chill cheese nacho, haha.  Adorable.

As for the game, the guys put up a good fight but lost in the last inning by one run.  It was a great game though, lots of action.

Ranger Danger

30 08 2009

We went to a Texas Rangers’ baseball game a few weeks. Hogan got the tickets from work and they were sweet, third row behind the visitors’ dugout.  Here are a few pics from the game.

swing batterstrikethiefMost people worry about sneaking tiny things into a game, like a flask.  The guy behind us rasied the bar by sneaking in a large bag of Ruffles.  I have to give it to him though, cheddar and sour cream is a great flavor.

Ruffles anyone? These little boys were too cute. Lost but cute.

Bearden Family Reunion

28 07 2009

Last month, Hogan’s family decided to get together for their first ever family reunion.  It was on a campground out in Caddo Mills, northeast of Dallas.  It was a very nice campground with a large pond and air conditioned cabins to escape the summer heat.  We grilled burgers, played washers and exchanged stories late into the afternoon.

I snapped a few pics of the event.  There are some pics of the food, the games and the kids. Enjoy!
