Darcie + Josh | Weddings

12 06 2011

Darcie and I have been friends since we were in 5th grade.  We’ve been through all the awkward stages of life…body suits, braces and glasses.. then we graduated to loving boy bands and dancing to the Spice Girls…in college we learned a lot about life, love and rootbeer schnapps…and now we’re learning that miles are simply miles and true friends don’t mind traveling(especially to the beach) 🙂

I remember when I first heard about Josh.  Darc was totally smitten.  She didn’t want to leave his side.  And I completely understand, he is her compliment in every way.  If she’s stressed, her calms her.  Is she’s hungry, he cooks for her.  If she needs anything, he doesn’t hesitate to make sure she’s happy.

Their wedding was absolutely beautiful!  The ceremony was on the beach at sunset.  The reception was perfect down to every detail, from the starfish/sand dollar name plates to the sand castle center pieces.  The band kept everyone on their feet and we danced the night away.

My new favorite accessory, fake eyelashes.

Beautiful.

Time for a little bridesmaid fun 🙂

I love these girls!

More Cowbell | Personal

11 06 2011

“Guess what?! I got a fever, and the only prescription is more cowbell!”

I had a blast at Darcie’s and Josh’s wedding!  The whole event was amazing, from the beautiful beach ceremony to the kick ass reception.

We ended the night with Neil Diamond’s Sweet Caroline…with the crowd singing at the top of their lungs Darcie was dancing center stage, Veronica was tappin her tambourine, Kirsten was shakin her maracas and I was rockin out on the cowbell.  In the words of Barney Stinson, “It was Legen — wait for it…Dary!”.

Side note: If you don’t watch “How I Met Your Mother,” start immediately!

Check out those killer dance moves! 🙂

Congratulations Darcie and Josh!  I love you guys!

Keep an eye out, their wedding post is coming soon!

Erin + Dennis | Weddings

25 07 2009

This post is dedicated to my beautiful friend, Mrs. Erin Michelle Sissell.  I love that her name rhymes now!  She and Dennis were married on June 6, 2009 in a quaint little town outside of Austin known as Wimberley.  The venue was beautiful!  See for yourself,  Red Corral Ranch.  There were peacocks  freely roaming the property.  The trees were wrapped with hundreds upon hundreds of twinkle lights and they had mason jars with tea lights cascading down the branches.

There couldn’t have been more love in the air.  I know it sounds cheesy but it’s true.  Just the look on Erin’s face when she was walking down the aisle was enough to make you cry.  You could truly see the love they have for one another.

The pictures below are an assortment.  A few are from when we were all getting ready, others are of friends, the cakes, the venue, and the peacocks.  My favorite shots of Erin are from when she was waiting on the green couch.  I went with her to wait while Dennis was getting his pictures taken.  She sat down on the couch with the sun beaming through the window.  It was so pretty!  I said, “Don’t move! I have to grab my camera.”  So we had an impromptu photo shoot.  I’ve included my favs in this post.

I hope you guys enjoy the pictures!  Let me know what you think!
