She’s done it again!  Beautiful Arrangements by Anne!  You can see her latest designs on display at Uchi.

Aren’t these arrangements gorgeous?!?!  Which one was your fav?

I love them all but I might be a little bias…purple is my favorite color.  🙂 (Go Frogs!)

I am so blessed to live in the Tree house and be surrounded by such creative roommates.  Katie and I are both photographers and Anne is super talented in the floral department.  Just check out her work.  Beautiful.

Decided to have a little fun and turn this last pic in to a painting. Thoughts?

Week 31: Reflection

7 09 2010

This reflection is Austin’s skyline on Town Lake.  I was going for the “butterfly effect.”  You know, like when you were little and you’d create a design with paint on one side of a piece of paper.  Then you would fold the paper in half so the paint got on the other side and duplicated the pattern.  Then you would unfold the paper to show a butterfly or in most cases identical blobs. 🙂  Well that’s the effect I tried to create with this photograph.

It was taken right at sunset.  I love the color the sun created as it bounced off the buildings.  So pretty!

I’m excited to photograph this skyline at other times and see the difference it makes in the reflection.  This time of night the water was still a little active from kayakers and tour boats.

What did you think about the reflection being used for the butterfly effect?

Week 24: Color: Yellow

A sunflower, pretty standard.

The RANCH

25 05 2010

I went to Los Angeles this weekend!  Los Angeles, TX that is. 🙂  I went with my friends, Erin, Dennis and Barret, to the Santa Maria Ranch to do a little hunting.  Here are some pictures from our adventures.

Thanks for a fun weekend guys!

Snow!

11 02 2010

You know you’re from Texas when…you get excited about two inches of snow in February. 🙂

I heard the sound of water dripping on my window sill this morning and thought it was rain.  I got up to check it out and, much to my surprise, the snow the weatherman had predicted actually showed up and stuck!  Please enjoy the rarity that is Texas snow.

Bob the Buffalo

28 10 2009

While I was doing some much-needed cleaning, I found an old CD with some great pictures on it.  Location: Turner Falls nestled in the Arbuckle Mountains of Oklahoma.  It’s a beautiful area.  Here a few of my favorites.

Rainy Days

22 09 2009

When it rains it pours. ..and pours…and pours. DFW has had a ridiculous amount of rain over the past two weeks.  It truly seemed like it would never end.  All the rain caused the Trinity River to rise which created great photo ops.  Here are a few of my favorites.
